Homebound

This entire journey that my husband and I set on in February has been filled with so many emotions and events. Many might want to know the reason we embarked on it in the first place, and while there is no short answer for that it does involve the seeking out of a home which we can build for ourselves and our family. The word “home” itself is a deep and complex term, and can be a physical place of shelter, or a shelter for our feelings and inner self.

I wrote this piece as a result of a conversation I had with WritersClubKL co-founder, Raina Ng, who is also a close friend of mine. It has struck a chord with many of those I know, especially with those that have made the huge decision of migrating. If you have made a move of your own and feel with this piece, I would love to hear your story.
